Is there a place where I can hire a small boat for some lure work on the lower thames. Not too fussed which section but must be sensibly priced.I am not local so have to make to most of any time I get on the river.

Dave - there's George Wilson & Sons by Thames St, at the foot of Sunbury weir.

On the next section down, there's boat hire a few yards downstream of Molesey lock, by Hampton Court bridge.

On the semi-tidal there's Hammertons, at the bottom of Orleans Rd.

All the above are rowing boats/punts. Anything with an engine and you're looking at small cruisers and big money.

One option, is our TAC boat match (see Forthcoming Events) - you have a day fishing on a boat for £10 and you'll get shown some of the river probably by a local who knows it well.
