Plans have been submitted for the redevelopment of Teddington studios site adjacent to the lock.

It's looking like this may open up a part of the riverside which is currently inaccessible.  
I think we'd want to be sure that fishing is allowed, nothing worse than a privately managed and over-signposted "No Nothing" area like around the Hogsmill in Kingston.

One downside is it may provide a route for Teddington (formerly Ham) Hydro to run their cable.
