Nice to meet both Kevin and John for a brief chat. Sorry I couldn't get down to your swim Steve, but wasn't keen on leaving my gear unattended and being that far away from it. I did notice 3 headlamps down your end of the stretch making an exit, so took that as time to pack up. The two lads fishing downstream from me packed up around the same time, so it was a resounding blank all round.
Still there's always next season.

Laughing  None of us even made it to midnight then! Am normally Mr Positive but soon as I turned up I started moaning  Very Happy  Just didn't feel right and I'm not good enough to catch when she's on red boards.

Ended up sucking Paul Sullivan dry on how he managed to catch 26 Thames carp this season - a couple over 30lb. Bearing in mind some of the season has been a wash out, that really is some going. I'd like to hate him but he's such a nice bloke you can't  Very Happy

Nice to meet up and have a chat with the lads on what was a warmest night under a muffled moonlit sky.Even though
it was red boards and some lunitic in a speed boat hammered down the river, not even having so much as a sucked maggot
it was good companyAnd I learned the size of your meat is everything when fishing for barbel.

Even though you're happily loved up nowadays, I see you're still bitter about no trophies for years Andy!  Very Happy
