Anyone know of (if) any local tackle shops open early-ish on a Sunday morning to buy some maggots, etc?

Sure hampton cts FishingUnlimited is still open sundays and gerrys of wimbledon but from 10am...

Hemmings Tackle,formerly Anglers base,are open on Sunday mornings until 1p.m.
