Big thanks to all who turned up, especially the lads from "way out east", Top fish Lee, fantastic Bream.
There,s no finer sight than anglers lining the banks of the Lower Thames, and as with the Barnes jobbie,
local people wanted to know more about why you are fishing there, so the more we do the better our existence is known,
(plans are afoot for a "last chance saloon" social on Sunday 12 th March) details will follow this week.
Once again, thanks to all who attended and glad you enjoyed your pie and gravy John.
cheers
James Very Happy

I popped along for a chat about midday. There were about 10 fishing and a couple of others also just hanging about. No fish had been caught but a couple of knocks had been had. Tthey were still waiting for the tide to bottom out. Lovely day to be out, not as cold as you might have expected.

One of the lads must have been seriously peeved when a flotilla of about 20 canoes went through his lines and beached in front pof the pub.

It wasn't too bad Neil, they gave me a wave and did keep clear of my lines.. but they didnt bring me back a pint from the pub, so maybe i should grumble!!

Robin we had a few come down but was that you in the green army-style jumper? Blonde hair? We didn't know if you were TAC - someone said you were an EA bailiff come down to check us out, hence why a few of us didn't come over Laughing

Either way, nice one for coming down...bring your rods next time Wink
