Jeez mate, I know they controll the levels but that is mad.

The main abstraction is below at Sunbury Walton, looks very wrong.

There's a massive one couple hundred yards below Penton Hook lock aswell mate - reckon it could be that one sucking our river dry at Crab's Island.

They will take it sadly, or else we aint gonna have anything to drink next year. Saw it quoted as an Environmental Drought, and they are saying if this winter is very dry, read 1976 or worse. Another secret, will be the biggest impact of any kind.

Hi Ken

No parking at the lock, in Beech Tree Lane or Thameside - they are Private roads, thats why they have put up barriers, its a case of finding a space in any one the local side roads, but if you have a blue badge, you can park at the lock

Went down to PH today to clear the logs I saw last week. Ended up going right downstream as much of it had drifted, all good now

Made the point of ether putting the wood on the far bank or moving it well away, should help, hard work though.

There is a permanent deflector in place at the sluice end built by Stuart of the EA after discussion about it, doing the job perfectly now Smile

cheers

Good work, Crab & Son. Very Happy
Would have liked to see what it was all like, spawning channel and all, when the river was in full flood up over those platforms!

on the bridge where we put in a lot of gravel, their where a lot of baby fish, tryed to take pics, but my camour is no good, they were around 2/3" long, with 4 white spots, 2 on each side, these might be baby trout, brook trout, sea trout, thames trout, the white spots where quit prominent on each side

Just to prove a point with the EA (hehe snigger snigger) the jack and pirat , went down to me Island and opened up the paths so that visitors can walk down them without getting stung by stinging nettles or attack by snakes

saw this nice size Perch in the lock, dead by the way, it was around 12/13 1/2" long,

willow tree fullen on to fishing platform

could off taked lots more pics, but takes to long to download them
